SBCPC 2011 - In Awe of GOD!

Overwhelmed. Undone. Renewed. In awe. Undeserving. GOD. Vance Pitman. GOD. J Teddy Johnson. GOD. Jehovah Jirah. El Shaddai. Glory. Unraveled. Put back together. Moved. Challenged. Changed. Incredible. Unbelievable. WOW. GOD.

This weekend at the Southern Baptist Convention Pastors Conference in Phoenix was the most incredible, most life changing event I have ever been involved in. Wait, I just said "be involved in" not "I've been too"! WOW! GOD who am I? So undeserving of just this, how much more undeserving am I to spend eternity with You!

LORD I want to be more of what You want,  I don't know how and I know I don't have it in me to even try because I am such a wretched soul, but what I do have is YOU. I have all I could need in YOU! I have your love and your power and your might, and from what I just experienced that is all I need.

So I ask YOU, Holy Spirit, more than anything, move me to LOVE YOU in a way that I have never loved you. Move me to get closer to You like I never have before....to literally crawl up in your lap, not for just a moment, but for eternity.

ABBA FATHER may what You have done in me and every individual from Hope Baptist Church be sealed inside of us for eternity!

LORD You let me in on something special and there are no adequate words in any language that can express the work that has been done inside of me. I don't even know what to write concerning the memories but LORD I don't want to loose this moment. I don't want it to fade and get pushed back by what may enter my life when I return home, by circumstances, by busyness... by my regular everyday life. Instead, I want the events right in front of me to be the inspiration and the constant reminder that I am to ASPIRE to preach the Gospel, not where Christ was already named.

You let me watch YOU at work in the hearts of so many. I watched one young lady transition from guarded and reserved, untrusting and removed, to a woman who couldn't stop smiling and became open to all kinds of conversation with us. She moved from a place of uncertainty to a place of certainty that she wanted more of whatever she was getting from You!

I WATCHED YOU!

You let me watch a sweet 16 year old, move from a young girl, who said she doesn't cry, EVER, to a Princess of God, not being able to stop the tears from falling and wandering what was happening to her. I told her LORD... I told her it was YOU! It was YOU! I watched her move from wanting to keep it together in front of her friends, after all, she is 16 and must be "cool and funny"; to not caring and realizing they don't understand and that it was okay that they didn't.

I WATCHED YOU!

I watched You in all Your glory move an audience who was more than likely shocked and horrified at what was happening with the worship at the convention, to breaking free and worshipping you with hands raised. I watched you lift them up from their seats, when they weren't asked, to praise You because they could no longer hold the praise back during "A Song for Sunday Morning" by your incredible servant J Teddy Johnson. It is impossible not to praise You when someone really gets to know You.

I WATCHED YOU!

I watched You watch us... "rising up so vast and strong, lifting up salvations song,... realizing... the redeemed will sing forever, Jesus saves!!"

That's what it is really about. You saving every and any soul who will believe on You and  worship and adore You here on earth. LORD, give me Your heart. Give me a heart that "Aspires to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth!" (Romans 15:20)

Here I simply share my life and pour out whatever emotions I have...well almost, some things need to be kept between me and Jesus (heehee). We all need a safe place to spill out what we think and feel and this is mine. My prayer is that you find some sort of encouragement for your own life and also find this a safe place to share your heart.
